Bihar Cabinet Gives Nod To Implement Nitish Kumar’s “Saat Nischay” Scheme
The Cabinet of Bihar on 19th February, 2016 agreed to put into action the ‘Saat Nischay’ plan of CM Nitish Kumar. The Scheme of ‘Saat Nischay’
The scheme of ‘Saat Nischay’ seeks to make youngsters self-reliant by providing proper education, education loan and skill development. The plan also aims to provide electricity connectivity to each and every village, providing regular supply of water to each and every household, facility of proper drainage and road in metropolitan areas.
The Bihar Cabinet sanctioned about 1,897.50 crore rupees to provide power connectivity to each and every family unit and it be finished in the following two years. The Bihar Cabinet as well had given nod to provide free wi-fi connection to all colleges and universities of the Bihar State.
Mr. Mehrotra further stated that the proposal as well incorporates providing proper supply of water to each and every family unit of the urban areas. According to the estimate, about 20, 13,000 families will be granted with this facility.
All family units will as well be connected with the proper drainage system for which the Bihar Cabinet had sanctioned about 140 crore rupees for the year 2016-17 and toilets will be built under the ‘Lohia Swachh Bihar Abhiyan’, stated by the Principal Secretary.
The Bihar Cabinet as well approved the proposal to set up a polytechnic and an engineering college in each district that would cost about 3,015.96 crore rupees and 841.09 crore rupees respectively.
The Bihar Cabinet also made certain that the ITIs will be opened in all 54 sub-divisions from the year 2016-17 in stages under the scheme of ‘Saat Nischay’ and also an ITI for women will be opened in twenty two districts.
Under the ‘Saat Nischay’ scheme, the Bihar Cabinet as well gave permission to set 5 new medical Institutes plus para medical colleges in the 24 districts with an predictable cost of 2120 crore rupees. The cabinet as well gave its permission to set nursing Institutes in medical colleges with an estimated cost of 528 crore rupees.
